AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb has hailed PM Modi over COVID-19 Vaccine manufacturing in India in "Swadeshi Style".

"Nobody in India could imagine that India too will manufacture COVID-19 Vaccine but under PM Modi it was made possible", said Biplab Deb.

He further mentioned, in COVID vaccination, Tripura has achieved a major place nationwide and COVID-19 crisis period also, Tripura performed best.

"The opposition tried to created problems but still we were successful. The opposition propagated that for each COVID-patient, I was getting Rs. 1.5 lakhs from centre, which is not true", said Deb.

CM asked people to take care of the senior citizens at their best and to make sure they are vaccinated. 

However, Deb was silent about the COVID death compensations which was promised to the deceased persons' families. 

Tripura also recorded for one of the worst health services reports and leakage in oxygen pipelines turned the COVID-treatment miserable to handle at the GB hospital during COVID-19 emergency period.

The situation was so bad that the GB hospital's senior Doctor had chosen to take treatment outside the State when he was exposed to COVID-19.
