AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN): Left Front candidate from Amtali-19 Golaghati constituency, Maya Rani Debabarma held door-to-door campaigning in Dhanirampur, Vijayanagar, and Dayalpara areas of her constituency today accompanied by CPI (M) state committee member Shamsul Haque, SFI Sonamura divisional secretary Kawshar Ahmed, CPI (M) Veluvarchar area secretary Manik Debnath, regional member Nidhi Lashkar, Samar Debbarma and other tribal leaders.
Responding to a question from reporters during the election campaign in Dayalpara ADC area the candidate criticized the BJP IPFT coalition government. She claimed, "before the election, the present coalition government had played many games with the simple minds of the tribal people. It has shown all kinds of false temptations due to which they are left deprived of everything they received during CPIM’s governance.
Although three years have passed since the coalition government came to power in the state, the government has not done anything for the development of the tribal people. But this time, the people have understood the government's deception. They no longer trust the BJP-IPFT led government".
She also asserted that the people of the tribal areas want peace and harmony among the tribes.
