AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): Based on secret information, East PS led a raid in Nahit Mia’s house and recovered a huge amount of contraband items. Police recovered 3 passports, Brown Sugar’s pouch, 8 mobile phones, 1 KTM bike, 1 Scooty along with cash Rs 92,000, and also Bangladeshi Currency found from the spot. Police said in this connection, Nahid Mia the main culprit caught red handed and 2 drug smugglers escaped from the scene. The seized amount is estimated around Rs 8-10 lakhs.

Almost 80 persons have been arrested in the last 10 days, who were involved in drug smuggling, said police to the media. It is suspected, behind the drug empire in Tripura a huge network has been working and many are involved.
