AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): It is known the Belonia police went for patrolling around 11 pm on Tuesday after reaching Vidyapeeth Corner they saw smoke were coming out from a shop. It was informed to the fire department of Belonia. Immediately the fire department personnel reached to the spot and brought the fire under control.

However, it is not yet known how the fire engulfed, but it is speculated that the fire might have occurred due to  electricity short circuit.

The amount of damage estimated Rs 7-8 lakhs, said the shop owner, Pijush Pal.
