AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): The Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles under aegis of Headquarters 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised a meeting with village council persons of Barapathar village (Belonia) and also conducted an awareness campaign for the local youth of the village.
The meeting was attended by village Chiefs and Secretaries of all the nearby villages and the issues which were discussed included the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination drive and forthcoming TTAADC election.
The importance of maintaining peace and harmony in the area was also discussed and the village Chiefs/Secretaries showed their interest in maintaining close liaison with Assam Rifles and assured their wholehearted support in the overall aim and larger interest to conduct incident free election.
