AGARTALA, March 16 (TIWN): A youth named Parimal Roy from Kali Tila area was held by public in Teliamura’s Gouranga Tilla area today and beaten for selling drugs openly in the area. Locals said that they were observing him for few days while he comes to deliver drugs in that area. After witnessing the incident, they held him and handed him over to Teliamura Police.

However, addressing the incident, locals claimed that this is not the first time that drug dealers had been handed over to police, but inside couple of days the police release them instead of putting any case on them thus encouraging them to carry out their anti-social activities.
