Agartala, Dec 10 (TIWN): A man’s body was recovered along with his bike from river Howrah adjacent to steel bridge at Prataphgarh area, this morning. The deceased was identified as- Sukanta Majumder (38), resident of Dhaleswar area, said police.
The locals discovered the body along with his bike bearing number TR01-V-5431 around 8 am, this morning in river Howrah near steel bridge at Prataphgarh. Thereafter, the locals informed to police immediately.
After receiving the information, a vast contingent of police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Later, the body was sent for post-mortem.
“No injury mark was spotted on the body. The bike rider might have fell into the river due to heavy intoxication and thick fog on last night. An unnatural death (UD) case has been registered in this regard", said police.
