AGARTALA, December 10 (TIWN): Government Pensioners Association of Tripura today submitted a 17 point charter of demands to the Chief Minister. The Government Pensioners Association of Tripura also holds a rally regarding the submission of the demands.
Speaking to the media, President of the Association, Mihir Kumar Gupta said that, the 17 point charter of demands includes:-
1. Control in price of essential commodities, strengthening the subsidy system and to control the hike in price.
2. Fluency in Broadgage line construction, to implement the railway line upto Sabroom.
3. Pension benefit should be given along with immediate effect of Grade Pay, Gratituity, boosting from 01-01-2006.
4. To implement the National Salary Commission and to include the state into 7th Salary commission.
5. Re-imbursement should be given in case of medical emergency.
6. The amount of Die-in- harness should be extended to 2 lakhs rupees.
7. Allowances of festivals should be made 1 thousand rupees.
8. Family pension should be given to unmarried girls and divorced girls
9. At least one member of the family of the pensioner should be given employment.
10. To construct district treasury in every districts.
11. State Government should gives stress to ensure better service provided to senior citizens in every serviceable department and institution. Etc
Apart from this, the movement also organized at Mohanpur, Amtali and Dukli unit of Government Pensioners Association.
