Agartala,Aug 26,(TIWN) CPM strongly opposed bifurcation of the state, as recently demanded by IPFT.
Addressing a press conference CPM state-secretary Bijan Dhar said that the demand is to ‘create distrust and ethnic tension between tribals and non-tribals.
Mr. Dhar added that the Party would take this point in campaigns and movements across the state in the coming days. Moreover, the ruling party of the state also ‘demanded’ that Congress and INPT should ‘clarify’ their stand on the issue of state-division.
