AGARTALA, March 2 (TIWN): Jatrapur police arrested a drug trafficker, Selim Uddin (37) resident of Assam on Monday.

Based on secret information, Jatrapur police led a raid under the leadership of SI, Sujit Rudra Pal and arrested a man along with 8000 Yaba tablets. After interrogation the drug trafficker admitted the huge amount of Yaba tablets to be trafficked in Bangladesh through Tripura.

Later the police brought him to Jatrapur PS and after interrogation he admitted has been connected with drug smuggling for several months.

Now the question is how the smugglers are smuggling drugs across the border despite the presence of security forces in the state?
