AGARTALA, Feb 16 (TIWN): Increasing theft incidents have been reported in Tripura, but now a days, what is more concerning is that the temples are being looted.
In Bordowali Taltala Kali temple, today another theft incident was reported.
Donation boxes in that temple were found broken today morning and then the temple members saw that many important items, cash were taken away. Atleast 50,000 rupees cash had been taken away by thieves.
This is the Second Kali temple looted in February month as another Kali temple at Ker Chowmuhani was looted last week by thieves.
Locals said that they don't have trust on police as last year in this area 14 shops were looted but police could not arrest anyone. However, police have take notes of the incident and registered a case.
