AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Feb 16 (TIWN): National Congress has given statement over ongoing controversy centering Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb's statement about "Amit Shah's plan to Govern Nepal and Sri Lanka '' after establishing BJP party there. Addressing in a press meet National Congress leader Supriya Shrinate said, "It has been noticed that Biplab Deb often talks ridiculous but this time, it's no more remained a joke. Biplab Deb has hurt the sentiment of India's Foreign policy and diplomacy. The Central Govt must force Biplab Deb for an unconditional apology for his remark against these neighboring countries and say sorry to the people of Nepal and Sri Lanka".
"We are yet to overcome the damage done due to Abki-Bar-Trump-Sarkar comment.............and now that happened..........Govt must ask Biplab Deb for apology to the nations", Supriya Srinate added.

On the other side, Sri Lanka Election Commission also commented against the news reports that Indian ruling party wants to expand BJP Govt in that country, saying, overseas parties can't fight poll in Sri Lanka.
