AGARTALA, Feb 15 (TIWN): Joint Movement Committee (JMC) member Bijoy Krishna Saha has raised question on Monday during protest in front of Rabindra Bhawan, who were the outsiders with police on January 27 when barbaric attacks took place on the 10323 teachers ?
"10323 teachers always had good relation with police. Whenever we had food, we distributed food to the police officials also. To break the harmony between police and the 10323 teachers, an outsiders' group had entered in police group on January 27 and involved in massive brutality on peaceful agitators and section 144 was imposed by misusing the provision", said Bijoy Krishna Saha.
He further said, "We know police generally do lathi-charge on legs but who gave permission to hit on our heads ?"
"We will also see you in Court. We have moved to Supreme Court. How can male police beat female agitators, it has to be answered", said the JMC member.
