AGARTALA, Feb 11 (TIWN): Amid Tripura's increasing poverty led suicides, slashing of social pensions and second highest unemployment rate, Tripura Chief Minister biplab Deb has claimed that Tripura's per capita income has increased at 23% under the BJP Govt. Biplab Deb was addressing in Kumarghat when he said so. He alleged, in CPI-M Govt's time, people people had to give "chanda" which is stopped now. His claim emerged when extortion-allegations of public against BJP members are on peak. On the other side, when Tripura is No-2 in unemployment rates, Biplab Deb's niece's husband and many such family members are getting illegal benefits from Govt like multiple liquor business licenses. Moreover, smuggling nexus with Biplab Deb's coterie allegations various times came in media includin the murder case of a police official at Sonamura.
Biplab Deb's high claims and funny speeches are however unended. Resentment erupted among the BJP members themselves after Chief Minister Biplab Deb reportedly asked people, unemployed youths to wait till 2023 as right now there is no guarantee of job and loan, in a leading newspaper this news was published.
Chief Minister's statement has reportedly created turmoil in the party as the local BJP MLAs are unable to show their faces already due to Biplab Deb's speeches and anti-people decisions.
CM's statement came in a Yuva Morcha programme at Sanichara. Biplab Deb without taking name further had criticized Sudip Roy Barman, whom he already sacked from the cabinet amid Sudip Barman had been the most popular leader among the then Congress at that time and successfully drawn BJP to power.
