AGARTALA, Feb 6 (TIWN): A mass sit-in was held in Udaipur’s Jamtala at the call of All India Peasants' Struggle Committee to protest the non-class oppression of the peasant movement and the anti-agricultural budget. Nitai Biswas, Nikhil Das, Chandra Mohan Hans, and others were present in the demonstration.
Meanwhile, farmers protesting against the Centre's new agricultural laws, Internet ban in areas near their agitation sites, harassment allegedly meted out to them by authorities, blocked roads at several places in Punjab and Haryana on the call given by the farmers' unions for a nationwide 'chakka jam'.
