TELIAMURA, Jan 16 (TIWN): A woman and one more person were seriously injured in a head-on collision between an auto and a Tom-tom due to driver's negligence.

The accident occurred on Teliamura-Khowai road in Korailong area under Teliamura PS around 5.30 pm on Friday. It is known that local vehicle, Tomtom collided head-on with an auto (TRO6 2822). Mitra Debnath, who was in the auto, severely injured while taking a sick patient to the hospital. Locals in the area immediately informed the Teliamura Fire Department.

Upon receiving the news, the fire department rushed to the spot and rescued the two injured and took them to Teliamura hospital.

Meanwhile, Mitra Debnath is in critical condition, one of her hands is broken. Presently, both injured are undergoing treatment at Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital.

However, Teliamura police have taken a vehicle accident case and started investigation.
