AGARTALA, Jan 9 (TIWN): The opposition CPI-M has staged a massive protest against the State Govt's decision of slashing social pension in the state.
A huge protest rally had kicked off yesterday at Chamanu. The agitators then met the SDPO seeking relief from miseries for the poor men, whose social pensions were stopped.
Amid statewide slashing of social pension for around 50,000 of people, Tripura CM Biplab Deb continues his tall claims that no social pension was stopped in the state except ghosts' pensions.

From Nihar Bala Devi to many old people's pensions being stopped, TIWN has published how a physically handicapped person's pension was also stopped in the ADC area. BJP had promised to allocate social pensions at Rs. 2000 but after coming to power, slashing of pensions have been started in full swing led to mass resentments and statewide crisis.
