AGARTALA, Jan 6 (TIWN): Amid over thousands of unemployed youths left jobless after passing out ANM in state, Tripura Govt reportedly has canceled 791 posts recruitment process and slashing those posts into 47 for now. Moreover, there is no recruitment for last 3 to 4 years in ANM and amid COVID-19 crisis also, State Govt took no initiative to employee ADM passed outs. Staging protest before the offoce of Directorate of Health Services, the unemployed youths asked, "What will be the gain with only 47 posts when thousands of youths are left unemployed ?" An unemployed youth expressed resentment over Chief Minister Biplab Deb's attitude against them saying, "We are trying to meet him from a long time but he has no concern. Even after giving us appointments also, he could not meet us yet. We know being a CM, he must be a busy person but we are his state's youths. He should keep little time for us too".
He further said, "In 2017, total for 791 posts advertizements were given and every year there are around 150 students who are passing out but no development about that recruitment of 2017. Now only 47 posts have been offered to appear in interviews. We are trying to meet the authority but although they gave us hopes, but their promises have not been fulfilled and internally we have come to know that only for 47 posts, interviews will be taken".
