AGARTALA, Dec 29 (TIWN): An 72-year-old woman named Nilima De Majumder went to Agartala Bordowali State Bank to withdraw money.

As soon as she came before her house at Siddhi Ashram Shivpalli area under Agartala Amtali Police Station, a biker, rushed before the lady and snatched her gold chain from her neck, and fled away. 

Amtali Police came and checked CCTV footage of the house and started investigation. Now it remains to be seen what role the police of Amtali police station will play in finding the main panda of the snatcher.

This is not an isolated incident in state but robbery, theft cases have turned daily incidents and in night hours also recently multiple houses were robbed with political muscles. However Tripura Police's website claimed that only 4 robbery cases happened in 2020 till November, although 317 theft cases have been shown.
