AGARTALA, Dec 20 (TIWN): Tripura State Chakma Parishad called mass agitation before Agartala's Maharani Tulsibati School today demanding recognition of the Chakma language as the state’s language and approval of Chakma Customary Law.

While addressing media, the agitators asked the Government to implement the recommendation of the 105th Rajya Sabha Petition Committee and to appoint Chakma teachers in the district council.

 The State Chakma Parishad also sought justice for Lt. Pindulal Chakma and financial compensation with Government job to Pindulal Chakma’s family.
