AGARTALA, Dec 2 (TIWN): A rape incident has been reported in Jirania and in the incident's connection an accused person has been arrested.

The accused person  named Ramen Das was forwarded to Court and I/O of the Case sought 14 days Jail Custody for him. 

Govt Lawyer said that in the case no-52/2020 at the Jirania Police station under section 376, 427 IPC the accused Ramen Das booked, arrested based on the complaint of the victim. 

The victim was raped in a car on 30th November by accused Ramen Das after he locked doors of the car. 

She was going to attend a function and the car driver is also known person. But on that night, taking the opportunity of the trust of the lady, the driver Ramen Das had raped her.

Court has sent the accused person in Jail Custody 14 days.
