AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): Former Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha on Friday while addressing in a protest programme said that BJP Govt's decision of 12% GST on 3 times more priced items purchasing to get LTC is a full mad decision ever taken.

"Govt has requested employees to buy 3 times more valued amount than the deserved LTC to get the LTC amount. It has been requested to the employees by Govt not to keep moneys in banks. This is nothing but total madness", said Bhanulal Saha to media.

He also demanded that the Govt should change its decision of privatizing TSECL resulting abnormal bills coming to the people's houses for electricity expenditure. 

The protest programme was mainly organized to raise voice for the poor people who are left in tight financial conditions due to COVID-19. 

This statement came aftermath the Tripura Govt has decided to pay the employees the LTC amount this year who could not go outside the state due to COVID-19 situation.   But, for that the LTC amount's 3 times more value item has to be purchased whose GST should be at least 12% or more than that. This facility will be varied as per grades of the employees.
