AGARTALA, NOV 18 (TIWN): In order to support the decision of calling strike at 26 November, CPI-M and its wing supporters on Thursday evening arranged a public meeting. The meeting took place at Battala.
While addressing media one CPIM leader said, "We have called the strike against the State government's negligence on public suffering. During this time of world pandemic when daily workers are loosing their way of earning and people are starving for food, the government preferred to remain silent. We have demanded 7000 rupees for six months for the families who doesn't count in tax-paying list. And free ration items for the daily workers and poor people. But the government did not fulfill any of them. Instead they are bringing pain in common people's life by implementing such dangerous laws like Farm Bill, 2020"
"We also strongly condemn the idea of privatising government sectors and giving the power of the country to the hands of few corporates."
The CPI-M supporters requested the people to co-operate and observe the strike on 26th November to create pressure on the State Government regarding the degrading condition of Tripura.
