AGARTALA, Nov 19 (TIWN): Tripura Congress has paid tribute to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her birth anniversary.

A programme in her rememberance was organzied at various party offices of the Congress party in state. Before Congress State Headquarter, a programme was also organized in the presence of top Congress leaders. 

Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi was an Indian politician and a central figure of the Indian National Congress. She was the first and, to date, only female Prime Minister of India. Indira Gandhi was the daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India.
