AGARTALA, Nov 19 (TIWN): Reaction over the unrest in Kanchanpur, Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarman has said that the agitators who are protesting against Bru settlement should look from the humanitarian angle. On being asked by media about any solution came out in this regard, Deputy CM said that stand is clear and Brus issue must be ended now. "Nobody should be Considered as Refugee in own Country. They are prolonged the suffering from 23 years due to the Left Govt", he added. However, he mentioned that State Govt is very positive to hold meetings and discussions with all groups and by discussions only things are proceeding. "We believe in discussions, not conflicts", Debbarman told media.

Local agitators at Kanchanpur under 'Joint Movement' on the other side said that they are not against Bru settlement but against abnormal settling of all Brus in Kanchanpur and they also sought all compensations where Mizo and Bengali families lost their homes starting from 1997 and no Govt gave them compensation.
