AGARTALA, Nov 17 (TIWN): After long 1 year of various IPS officers refusal to serve as DGP in Tripura under Chief Minister Biplab Deb, finally V. S.Yadav has been appointed in post.

Tripura was without any DGP for a year long, as previously appointed DGP Amitabh Ranjan had refused to work under Biplab Deb. Various officers in Tripura already went in VRS due to misrule of CM Biplab Deb. 

The appointment of the 1987 batch officer came nearly 10 months after A K Shukla retired from the post on January 31. 

Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Rajiv Singh was officiating as the DGP after Shukla''s retirement.  Yadav is currently holding the post of principal secretary of the OBC Welfare Department. PTI JOY ACD ACD
