AGARTALA, Nov 17 (TIWN): Although Chief Minister Biplab Deb recently said that "discussion" is the key of solving all problems, but in Kanchanpur issue, Govt's one-sided attitude and "silence politics" is turning the situation violent.
Subal Dey, who is by profession a driver was severely beaten allegedly by Bru members. He was hospitalized in critical conditions.
Kanchanpur subdivision is tensed over Bru settlement issue.
On the one saide, locals under Joint Movement in Strike under a protest against massive-Bru settlement in Kanchanpur and on the other side, Prince Pradyot Manikya is pressuring the State and Central Govt for immediate settlement of the Brus.
Mizo and Bengali community have demanded a high level meeting with the Govt over the issue but BJP Govt was speculating to solve the issue by silence But ground reality says, the situation is going out of control in Kanchanpur, needs immediate intervene of the Central Home Ministry.
