AGARTALA, Nov 12 (TIWN): Amid statewide protests by media persons, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath on Thursday has claimed that BJP Govt believes in the "Freedom of Media" and "Freedom of the Fourth Pillar of the Democracy".
The statement came after BJP party backed journalists, editors went to meet CM Biplab Deb amid Biplab Deb's mafia threat to media and no apology after the statement. The journalists met CM, praised him when senior journalists and popular news media editors are still in protest against CM's threat to media.
Ratanlal Nath said that Govt will be working for development of media world in the state. He also congratulated winners of the Agartala Press Club election.
