AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): D.El.ED Students have demanded Online examinations like B.Ed and other students due to Coronavirus pandemic. On October 29, the students wanted to meet the Director of Education but he could not meet them on that date due to his tight working hours and gave appointment today. Thus, the students visited the office today to meet the Director. While talking to media, the D.Ei.ED students said that when Education Dept is taking online examinations for B.Ed why can't they do the same in case of D.Ei.ED ? They alleged that even though, they are being asked to give offline examinations but the authority sought parents' signature for that. In this regard, the students asked, why can't the Education Dept take responsibility of the students ? What is the assurance that after offline exams, nobody will suffer from COVID-19 ? Around 2,000 students will be appearing for the D.EI.ED examinations.

They alleged that through online examinations students are getting higher marks by appearing even from tutor's home but for the D.El.ED Students, why there should be separate rules, when COVID-19 at high increase ?
They also asked, if anything happens to them will SCERT take the responsibility. Education Dept's various types of rules and sudden decisions under Minister Ratanlal Nath have been creating problems for the students time to time in Tripura amid COVID crisis.
