AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWN): On a shocking note a person on yesterday evening tried to commit suicide by setting himself on fire. The incident took place in Chakmaghat's Jarilang para under Teliamura PS.

Reportedly, a person identified as Samir Debnath had a fight with his wife on yesterday. Out of frustration of everyday's quarrel, the person tried to kill himself by setting himself on fire. However, after hearing noise his neighbours and family members rushed to the place and called fire brigade.

Fire brigade rushed to spot and took him to Teliamura hospital. The doctors said that he had burnt 50% of his body. The doctors transferred him to GB hospital for better treatment.
