AGARTALA, Oct 12 (TIWN) At least 109 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Tripura on Monday, pushing the tally in the state to 28,461 a health department official said.
The death toll rose to 313 with one more person succumbing to the infection, he said. West Tripura district, of which state capital Agartala is a part, has accounted for 169 of the 313 deaths. Altogether 317 patients were discharged on Sunday from G B Pant hospital, the main referral facility in the state for COVID-19 patients, the official said.
Tripura currently has 3,745 active coronavirus cases, while 24,380 people have recovered from the disease. Twenty- three patients have migrated to other states, he said. As many as 4,16,492 samples have been examined for COVID-19 in the northeastern state so far, he added.
