AGARTALA, Oct 7 (TIWN): Although earlier, in a High court verdict it was said that AGMC professors would not be sent in deputation or transfer in hospitals but once again, Biplab Deb Govt has announced war against senior Doctors and issued a forceful transfer order. The senior Doctors who are Medical College professors and fall under Education Dept, are served with transfer orders which has not only raised question on the logic of the transfer but also questioned on the GB hospital services. The transfer notification File No. Vide UONO 1993 ACS Health and FW Deptt. dt. 29-09-2020. Out of the 10 Doctors in the transfer list, 5 are faculties of AGMC that is the Govt Medical College. Questions raised over Medicine Doctors and AGMC's professors transfers. College faculties can not be transferred to other subdivisions as per rules as they are under Education Dept.

The transferred Doctors are : 1) Dr. Swapan Das (MD, General Medicine), 2)Dr Swapan Sarkar (DNB, General Medicine), 3) Dr. Atul Debbarma (MD, General Medicine), 4) Dr. Mrinal Kanti Debbarma (MD, General Medicine), Asst Professor, 5) Dr Atanu Ghosh (MD, General Medicine), Asst Professor, 6) Dr. Pranab Kanti Dutta, (MD, General Medicine) 7) Debapriyo Saha (MD, General Medicine), 8) Dr. Achinta Pal (MD), 9) Dr, Narendra Das (MD), 10) Dr, Parimal Sarkar.

Doctors may go to court against this decision whereas few are thinking to take voluntary retirement.
