AGARTALA, Oct 4 (TIWN): As per Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath's announcement Tripura schools will be opened from 5th October with 50% teachers. Students who are willing to come to school, can attend classes but the their guardian's written consent. On the other side, after suspending neighbourhood classes for a month following surge in Covid-19 cases, the education department has decided to resume the classes from Monday. "The State Government has decided to open the schools from October 5. Other States have started earlier but we are starting from next months. But with few regulations like 50% teacher will come oneday and the other 50% teachers will come the next day. Thus it will work." Said Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath while announcing about Schools reopening.
He also asked the school authorities to maintain proper sanitization in schools. However, a section of intellectual people said that this step of the State government can increase the Covid spread further. And like previous 'Neighbourhood classes' this scheme also likely to walk towards failure if the protocols of health and hygiene are not maintained properly.
