AGARTALA, Oct 3 (TIWN): Agitating senior journalists, Editors on Gandhi Jayanti lambasted the BJP led State Govt for instructing officials for not to talk to media through various official and unofficial notifications. Condemning this move of the Government, PTI journalist Jayanta Bhattacharjee said, "For any error in news writing, the blame goes to the Govt of Tripura. Govt has silenced its mouthpieces. There is no spokesperson as such and a black-law is being notified that officials will not talk to media. If this is the situation, how will the people get the news ? We are also answerable to the people. We collect news for the people across nation and world but by written and unwritten orders such new practices are highly disappointing. We condemn it. The threat given by Chief Minister Biplab Deb to media might have been one and only incident in whole world".
The senior journalist further hit the section of media, journalists who are too busy to oil the Govt amid wrongdoings just for the sake of money-earning. He suggested them to open shops in Gol Bazar and to earn heavy amounts but requested not to pollute this profession.
