AGARTALA, Oct 2 (TIWN): Tripura Congress has sat in a 24 hours hunger strike reacting against the rape incident of Uttar Pradesh. Mahila Congress nationwide also has protested In Uttar Pradesh Over Hathras Gangrape Case. This hunger strike was basically called by Mahila Congress unit, joined by other units of the Congress party. On the other side, the Uttar Pradesh police have registered case against Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and others under Sec 188, 269 and 270 of IPC and under provisions of the Epidemic Diseases Act for violating lockdown rules while marching to Hathras, say reports. Earlier in the day, a Congress convoy heading to Hathras was stopped and the Gandhis were briefly detained before being sent back to Delhi.
