AGARTALA, Oct 1 (TIWN): Statewide violance, attack on opposition party supporter continues under BJP regime. Brutal attack attempted on former Bar Association Secretary and senior Advocate Bhaskar Debbarma on yesterday night. Although the miscreants could not be identified due to the darkness of night, but an FIR has been lodged against the attack in West Agartala PS.

Advocate Prasenjit Debnath strongly condemned this shameful act. While describing the incident the advocate said, "Yesterday night when Advocate Bhaskar Debbarma was in his chember few miscreants attacked him. He somehow saved his life and returned home but the miscreants were using rough words, slangs against him. They also threatened to murder him. Later a complaint has been reported to West PS. We strongly condemn this act. Strong actions should be taken against it."
