AGARTALA, Sep 23 (TIWN): Breaking the extreme level of patience and tolerance, the ‘Deprived’ 10323 teachers on wednessday have came into massive protest infront of Secretariat against the State Government’s betrayal of promising jobs and not keeping their promise after coming into power. In a thousands of numbers the terminated teachers on today moved towards the secrateriat to ask the govt when will this period of uncertainity and depression will end. To stop them police imposed “lathi charge” on them and injured many of the agitators including women. However, police couldn’t stop their strong will power and as they were majority in number police failed to stop them from their curriculum.

One of the teacher said, “This is a do or die movement for us. We will sit here til the government gives a permanent solution to us. No matter if we have to sit here for hours or days, we will. This govt can’t escape like that, they are answerable to us.”
