AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): Amid pandemic situation, Education Dept under Minister Ratanlal Nath has transferred huge numbers of teachers across Tripura schools. This has generated much resentment among the students as there will be a major communication gap with the new teachers. Seeking no transfer amid pandemic, the students of Bodhjung H.S School came in protest asking the Education Dept atleast to hold the decision for this academic year. This has raised question to the Education Dept's unnecessary transfer policy where even school students are bound to protest. Addressing media, the agitating students said, "Yesterday, as per TBSE's notification, many teachers were transferred and among them 12 teachers are transferred from Bodhujung H.S. school. As a result, maximum science teachers are gone. When pandemic situation has hit the education system and we are dependent on online classes, but in this situation such a chaos and change is unexpected, when neighboring classes are also stopped. We request the Govt to withdraw the situation".
The students also talked to the Headmaster Kalyan Bhadra with their demand, but as nothing is in his hands, he could not satisfy the students with any assurance about cancellation of the transfers of teachers.
