AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): What led public to give full support to opposition Congress called 12 hours strike in Tripura ? Although, Congress have raised various issues as a part of the strike's purpose, but public's massive response to the strike was as per analysis due to economic falls and severe financial distresses which are being faced by the State's people including slash of MGNREGA mandays to collapsing economic situations. Although BMS led massive anti-strike propaganda was done from yesterday but shops and vehicle movements remained paralyzed in the capital city Agartala from early morning. Shops across the city remained close, although BJP started rallies voicing against strike. On the other side, Congress has launched protests raising voice against wrongdoings of the BJP Govt, stopped by police in various places. Tussle between police, activists were reported. But, overall the strike got a massive success for the Congress party today in Tripura.
