AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): Congress State President Pijush Biswas, other leaders like Birjit Sinha, Shubal Bhowmik thanked people for their supports in observing the 12 hours strike today.

Talking to media Pijush Biswas said that the supportive response people have shown today is beyond expectation. He also said that people have lost all their believes over the BJP led state govt, and this is the result people have shown today by supporting this strike.

Although the BJP activists have tried to erupt fights and violance in different places of the capital but with the support of police and CRPF Jawan situation came under control.

West Agartala SDPO Shasvat Kumar said that the situation allover remained normal. Police also arrested the picketers of Congress at Agartala.
