AGARTALA, Sep 19 (TIWN): Tripura's Education Department's poorly planned admission system created panic among the 12 passed students of the state. Also, the imposed fee on final semester students amid Covid crisis increased students sufferings and erupted tension among guardians. All India Democratic Students organisation (DSO) on Saturday placed deputation to directorate of Education for looking after the inconveniences and solving it as early as possible.
This policy of giving admission to the 12 pass students in State's Degree Colleges enlisted students to the college's far from their residences despite having the same criteria in Colleges nearby. A student of Agartala who applied for MBB, BBMC got listed his name in Dharmanagar college. Such inconveniences created huge panic among the students and their guardians.
While addressing media DSO member said, "This new procedure of Tripura Education Department is increasing the students sufferings. How will they continue their higher studies if they have to go 70-80 km far from their home during this pandemic? We highly oppose this dicision and we have placed deputation to the Directorate of Education to change this system as soon as possible."
They also demanded to withdraw all the exam fees that has been imposed on the final semester students amid Covid crisis.
