KAMALPUR, Nov 28 (TIWN): An anti-dowry seminar and discussion was held today at Salema Community Hall, Kamalpur. The CDPO of Salema ICDS project organized this seminar.

The Deputy Director of DISE Sudipto Debbarma inaugurated the program. In his inaugural speech, Mr. Debbarma strongly condemned the prohibition of dowry and urged for everyone’s active participation against such a heinous practice. CPIM Divisional Secretary Kamal Kar, CITU Divisional Secretary Anjan Das also spoke in the same accord strongly condemning this barbaric practice of dowry CDPO Santosh Das also spoke in this occasion. A colorful rally also roamed in the Salema market area chanting anti-dowry slogans and holding such placards.
