AGARTALA, Sep 7 (TIWN ): On Monday the ST Students who are perusing B.Ed and D.l.ed staged protest in Tripura Tribal Welfare department as the department did not take any step to keep their promise till now.
Reportedly, on 24th August the B.ed and D.l.Ed students placed a deputation to the Director of Tribal welfare society demanded to relax their one year course fee considering the ongoing covid situation. The Director promised them to work on this within 10 days. But after 14 days of the promise, no work has been done yet.
One of the students while addressing the media said that they are feeling deprived. Even after promising the department did not take any step. “As we are doing B.Ed and D.l.Ed, we will be the backbone of the society in future but such negligence from the government is completely unacceptable. Also, I wont take names but some officials behaved so rudely with us. The words they used is completely shocking for us.”
The students sought immediate action on their demand.
