AGARTALA, Sep 3 (TIWN): 17 Congress Cells of Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee i.e. Sevadal Congress, NSUI, Mahila Congress, Fishermen Congress, Sevadal Youth Brigade, ONC department, Minority Department etc along with its Trade Unions have called for 12hr strike on 8th September 2020.

The strike has been called against the 3rd brutal attack on Former Tripura Pradesh Congress President Shri Birajit Sinha in the last 2 years by BJP goons and on other opposition party leaders and workers. They have demanded for strict action by the state home department in order to maintain law and order. Their demands also include urging the state government to increase the health facilities in the state-run hospitals and providing minimum allowance of 7,500rs to the migrants and poor families during this pandemic.
