Amra Bangali protested as Railways using Assamese language removing Bangla in Tripura signboards

AGARTALA, Sep 2 (TIWN): The youth wing of Amra Bangali has raised voice against Railways move to put Assamese language in signboard instead of local languages Bangla and Kokborok.
The regional party said that Bengali language is neglected everywhere including new school syllabus to other places. “In such a situation, we demand proper respect to the language which is a leading language of world”, said a party worker.
The Bangali Chatra Yuba Samaj also said that in Tripura University also, from Bengali Dept signboards, Bengali alphabets had been removed earlier and the whole University is changed with Hindi and English version.
