AGARTALA, Aug 30 (TIWN): Various Technical Problems including Oxygen pipeline, CT scan, unavailable equipment for dialysis have put the common men in massive Problems. Patients who are being admitted at there have complained about the unavailable services in various sectors. Amid COVID-19 pandemic led chaos in the GB Hospital, which is considered as the biggest State Govt hospital in Tripura, now one more problem is being faced by the authority and the patient party there due to non-functional condition of the CT scan sector. Already kidney patients are suffering due to shortage of dialysis equipment but now the CT scan machine remained in non-functional condition has hit a major section of patient party. Talking to media, a patient party on yesterday said, “I am taking my patient to home with bond-sign without completing CT scan, as we don’t have capacity for private CT scan tests. Doctor asked us to do CT scan but for last 6 days I am roaming in this hospital but they are saying that the CT scan machine is not working".
He added, "When I went to a private organization, they sought 11,000 rupees, which is not possible for me to bear. I am a poor man, daily worker”.
The patient came from Kamalpur’s Halahali with stomach problems but due to the non-functional condition of the section, the patient party could not complete the CT scan”.
There have been oxygen pipeline problems in the hospital which caused even deaths of patients in the hospital. Tripura Health dept with such issues, are facing public rages everyday.
