AGARTALA, Aug 15 (TIWN): "Development assessment has no link with Jobs, Tripura people's per head income is high", such has been claimed by Law Minister Ratanlal Nath on Friday while addressing media from Secretariat.
Addressing media at the Secretariat, Nath said, “What does Manik Sarkar says, Jishnu Babu says, Ratanlal Nath says it is not at all factors but three factors are important to measure. First one is : Primary Sector like Forest, Fishing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal husbandry, then Secondary Sector Industry and third is about transport, trade, railways, repairs, banking, insurance etc which is very important. In Left era the GSDP was 43,687 crores 80 lakhs. Now under Biplab Deb Govt it turned 2018-20 at 49, 836 crore 89 lakhs and in 2019-20 it turned 55,358 crores 8 lakhs”.
“In 2017-18 per capita income was 1 lakh 370, in 2018-19 it turned 1 lakh 12 thousand 812 and then in 2019-20 1 lakh 23 thousand 630. Now it is going 1.32 lakhs already”, said Ratanlal Nath, adding, “Tripura stands at 6th position in per capita income among all states whereas West Bengal, Assam, Odisha, Rajasthan etc are less than Tripura”, said Ratanlal Nath.
“Job does not matter in economic growth, but the per capita income matters”, he added.
