AGARTALA, July 31 (TIWN): In a major breakthrough in Tripura, girls have been dominating in Science, Arts and Commerce streams this year in TBSE.

Giving a blow to the traditional city base toppers in Board examinations, South Tripura District's girl, Ruchika Sarkar from Arya Colony HS School haven broken the convention, topped in TBSE Class-12 examination.

Bipasha Chakraborty from Vivekananda Vidyapith H.S School bagged the first position with 482 marks.  Swarupa Banik from Prachya Bharati HS School in Agartala stood first in Commerce with 455 marks out of total 500.

80.80% students passed in TBSC Class-XII examinations, said TBSE President Bhabotosh Saha. Passing Percentage in Commerce is 78.56 %, in Arts Passing rate is 79.52% and in Science, the Passing Percentage is 89.85 % totaling 80.80% students passed in Class-XII examinations. For review of marks the students have to submit forms by August 10 and the forms have to reach TBSE by August 14.
