AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): Subash Nagar, Jagat Palli Conoli’s locals have alleged that their ration shop has provided them plastic rice to a family, caused stomach ache to all of them.

From last 1 week this family was consuming that rice and now locals alleged that due to plastic rice, the family is suffering from stomach problems.

The locals claimed it after two experiments as per their statements. They said, the rice if given on fire, it gives plastic like smells whereas if a round shape can be made with the rice (after cooking), then it jumps like balls.

Earlier, across world, the plastic rice rumour was considered as a “myth”. From BBC to other media denied the claim of existence any Plastic Rice. Now, with the fresh allegation here in Agartala, what the local authority does, it is to be seen.
