AGARTALA, July 26 (TIWN): Ahead of 3 days lockdown, addressing media, West DM Sandeep Mahatme said, “The effect of lockdown will be started from today 9 pm today. All shops to remain close except grocery, medicine shops etc. Marchant Association will take all related decisions”.

“Less than 1 metre front area holding shops can give space for 1 person only and the shops whose front area is between 1 or 2 metre there 2 persons can stand. Masks are mandatory for all”, said DM West.

“Social distancing is must. In funerals, less than 20 persons will be allowed. In marriages also, less than 50 persons or 50 will be there. Religious, Political gatherings are prohibited”, said Sandeep Mahatme.

“Agriculture, municipality, water services etc are exempted along with medical purposes”, said Sandeep Mahatme.
